Sydney, Australia!

On Wednesday, April 25, Larry Tayler delivered a lecture about his favourite city - Sydney, Australia! He described his early connections to Sydney and his ongoing relationship with Australia's most beautiful city. He also discussed the troubled background of the Sydney Opera House.

The topic of the last lecture in the Spring 2018 series is Hong Kong! Please join us on Wednesday, May 2 at 10 am for Professor Kim R. Nossal's thoughts on this sprawling and fascinating Asian city. There will be single tickets at the door for $15.

Louis Delvoie in Cairo - and News About Next Week's Lecture!

Louis Delvoie's Cairo!

This morning, Wednesday, April 18, 2018, Later Life Learning Belleville's dear friend Louis Delvoie spoke to us with insight, passion, and humour about Egypt, Cairo, and the Middle East. As a retired senior member of the Canadian diplomatic corps, he has firsthand knowledge about the complexities of the Middle East and communicates it with ease. Thank you, Louis!

And who knew that a citizen of Cairo is called a Cairene?

Change of Speaker Next Week!

Sadly, Professor David Parker will not present his lecture about Buenos Aires on Wednesday, April 25. He is recuperating from surgery. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope that he can speak to us in the future.
